TRI*Net Inc. was established in December 1990 by founder and President, Jim Hall. The original focus of the business was to support the bare board test fixture industry for key accounts both on the East Coast and the West Coast. TRI*Net, Inc. secured a blanket PO agreement with AT&T in Richmond, VA which sustained the East Coast Operation for a period of three years.
The TRI*Net, CA facility at first was also involved in the fabrication of bare board fixtures, servicing customers in Northern and Southern California.
In year four of the business, trends indicated that this type of test fixturing was changing, thus the CA operation turned its focus to the loaded board ICT Test Fixturing effort. We gradually became primarily a loaded ICT test fixture house with small bursts of business in the bard board marketplace.
TRI*Net Inc. is still involved in the ICT Test Fixturing efforts of test fixtures and test programs and support companies throughout the US, Canada, & Mexico.
Approximately 12 years ago we diversified into a more Engineering Design and Fabrication house, with more emphasis on custom/mechanical /functional test products. We have a very strong reputation with our customers, and even with our competitors of the high quality, well engineered solutions to complex test requirements.
We further diversified even more, by adding additional services to our portfolio. We do all of our designs using 3D CAD which lends itself to FEA and full 3D assemblies thru analysis. We purchased 3-D Dimension Printer which takes the output files from the 3-D model and creates prototype parts for our customers. This is especially significant in the medical industry where prototyping is a crucial part of their product development.
TRI*Net operates under one umbrella, but there are two groups of product lines, the custom and the standard In-Circuit requirements. The custom portion of the equation is outpacing the standard business in part due to the volume production being exported to China.
In addition to standard ICT test fixture builds, we also specialize in test fixture refurbishments of existing fixtures, custom tester adapters, & ICT Board Testing Services with our in-house Teradyne ICT Tester.
Another aspect of the business is machining of custom parts not particularly related to the test fixture industry. We are equipped with a CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, NC Driller/Routers, Standard Knee Mills, Lathes, and a variety of saws, surface grinders, etc.
